Hear the chapter read back
Open Read mode and press play. Each word is lit as it is read and the rest of the chapter dims, so your eye follows the voice.
Export the book as audio
The Publish page reads every chapter aloud on your device and saves one track per chapter, as MP3 or WAV. It is a synthetic voice, good for a reference recording.
Choose the narrator and the speed
There are 28 voices, in US and UK accents. The same voice is used for read aloud and for the audiobook.
Voice and speed
Choose the narrator and the speaking speed in Settings, under Editor & Typography. The voice model downloads once, about 90 MB, and then works offline.
Read mode: see the chapter as a reader would
Read mode shows the chapter without the editing tools. Bionic Reading bolds the start of each word for a faster read-through.
