The Spark

Research board for notes, images and links

A board for notes, images, audio, video and links. Open any source in the built-in browser without leaving your draft, and drop a whole board into a character's bio.

The material that is not prose yet

Notes, images, audio, video and links on one board, with a built-in browser so research never pulls you out of the draft.

Initial Fragments

Gather images, audio clips, and notes onto a vast canvas. Protect the initial spark before it is ready for the structure of a chapter.

Spatial Intuition

Eliminate friction and folders. A spatial landscape where intuition guides you back to your research, keeping your creative momentum alive.

Deep Integration

Reference your sparks directly within the Blueprint or Cast editor. The artifacts of your research are always one click away from the draft.

Before the
First Word.

"Ideas are like whispers in a storm; they need a quiet place to settle before they are spoken."

A masterpiece begins as a mess. A snippet of a conversation overheard in a cafe. The specific grain of a weathered door. The low hum of a cello. These fragments don't belong in a spreadsheet or a folder. They belong in a sanctuary.

A Landscape
Without Boundaries.

We've replaced connecting lines with open space. The Spark is a vast, unstructured landscape where you can paste the raw materials of your imagination. It’s a mood board for the subconscious, a place where ideas can drift together naturally through proximity and spatial memory, not force.

From Spark to Blueprint.

When the fragments finally begin to coalesce, they aren't left behind. The artifacts in your Spark board remain accessible throughout the architecture of NovelOS. Reference a research note while building your Cast, or pull a mood-setting image directly into a Blueprint scene. Your inspiration is the foundation of your draft.

Common questions

What can go on a Spark board?

Notes, images, audio, video, web links and freehand sketches, arranged on an infinite canvas. Each item takes a label, a description and tags.

Can I check a source without leaving my draft?

Yes. A link item opens in a built-in mini browser inside the app, so following a reference does not mean opening a tab and losing the next hour.

Can research sit next to the writing it belongs to?

Type / in any editor and choose Spark Board to embed a whole board inline. A character's biography can carry the mood images, name candidates and reference links that produced them.

Can I draw on a board?

Yes. There is a pen, eraser, fill, brush sizes, custom colours and undo, so a rough sketch of a face or a floor plan lives beside the notes.

Is Spark just a notes app?

It is a board rather than a document. Items sit spatially and can be clustered, which suits material that has no order yet, then embedded into a character, location or chapter once it does.

Does any of it leave my machine?

No. Boards and media live in your project folder. The mini browser loads pages you ask for; nothing is uploaded and nothing is tracked.

Is it included in the $45?

Yes, on Windows and macOS, refundable in full inside 30 days.
