By purchasing, downloading, or using NovelOS Studio ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

2.1 Lifetime Personal License

Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use NovelOS Studio for personal creative writing purposes. This license includes:

• Unlimited use on your personal devices
• All future updates and improvements
• Access to all features and modules
• No recurring fees or subscription charges

2.2 Installation Limits

You may install the Software on multiple devices you personally own, but the license is tied to you as an individual, not to a device.

3. Ownership & Intellectual Property

3.1 Your Creative Work

You retain 100% ownership of all content you create using NovelOS, including:

• Manuscripts and written content
• Characters and world-building materials
• Plot structures and story outlines
• Any other creative work produced in the Software

We make no claim to your creative work and will never access, review, or use it for any purpose.

3.2 Software Ownership

NovelOS Studio, including its code, design, features, and documentation, remains the intellectual property of NovelOS Studio. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works based on the Software.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or transfer your license
• Share your license key or account credentials with others
• Use the Software for illegal or harmful purposes
• Attempt to circumvent licensing or security mechanisms
• Use the Software in a commercial team environment without a commercial license

5. AI Features & Third-Party Services

NovelOS integrates with third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) using your own API keys. By using these features:

• You agree to the terms of service of the AI provider you choose
• You are responsible for any costs incurred with AI providers
• We are not liable for AI-generated content or provider outages

6. Updates & Support

6.1 Updates

Your lifetime license includes all future updates, bug fixes, and feature improvements at no additional cost. Updates are optional but recommended for security and performance.

6.2 Support

We provide email support and documentation for all license holders. While we strive to respond promptly, support is provided on a best-effort basis.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. While we work hard to ensure NovelOS is reliable and bug-free, we cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all systems or configurations
• That the Software will meet your specific requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NovelOS Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Software, including loss of data or creative work. Your sole remedy is to stop using the Software and request a refund within the refund period.

9. Data Backup Responsibility

Because NovelOS stores all data locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up your work. We strongly recommend regular backups to external drives or cloud storage of your choice.

10. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must cease using the Software and delete all copies. Your creative work remains yours.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law
