## Character Arc in a story

The arc connects belief to behavior. Pressure tests the starting worldview, consequences expose its limits, and later decisions show whether the character changes or holds firm.

## Original fiction example

> A judge who believes mercy weakens justice first rejects every exception, then risks her career to correct a lawful but devastating sentence.
